Short N Curly Cats
Lambkins are the intentional cross of the munchkin and Selkirk Rex to achieve the curly coat that resembles the look of a lamb on a cat with short legs. The genes responsible for the short legs and the curly fur are both dominant so only one parent must have the genes to pass it on to its offspring. Dominant mutations are very easy to see...cats with curly fur carry the dominant gene for curly fur, cats that have short legs carry the dwarf gene for short legs. It is possible to get kittens with curly fur both on short and long legs as well as getting kittens with normal straight fur on either short or long legs all in the same litter. Lambkins can come in an array of colors and patterns. They are currently being registered by registered as an experimental breed by TICA and are also accepted for registration by The Designer Cat Association (TDCA).
