Short N Curly Cats
Napoleons are the deliberate cross of the munchkin and persian breeds (persians, himalayans, or exotics). The ideal napoleon should have short legs and a rounded head but should not have as flat a face as the persian, nor should the cat look just like a long haired munchkin. To be classified as a breed, there must be distinct traits that set the napoleon apart from the foundation cats used to develop it. Napoleons can come in any color or pattern and are available in both short and longhaired varieties, though longhaired is preferred. In addition, napoleons can come in both short and long legged versions.
The personality of the napoleon should be loving and sweet with a more laid back demeanor. They can still be active at times though while racing around the house and even the short legged kitties can jump up on the couch or chairs. Napoleons are currently accepted for registration by TICA and by The Designer Cat Association (TDCA).
